During this morning's College Assembly, the FIRE Carriers and Respectful Relationships student ambassadors spoke about аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø’s commitment towards Reconciliation and Respectful Relationships, with a particular focus on student voice. Our College Captains had the opportunity to formally present аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø alumna, Dr Lisa Higgins (Class of 1993), the 2022 Dr Ursula McKenna (Class of 1948) Award. Each year, the Award recognises an alumna with excellence in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The Assembly also included a presentation of 'The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø Story' by Director of Development and Community Relations, Tracey Grobbelaar, and College Archivist, Marian Jenkinson; a recap of Semester 1 highlights and upcoming exciting events by various student leaders; and a special performance of 'Soul Man' by the College Stage Band.
We concluded the morning by singing the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø school song, Hymn to St Catherine. What a wonderful way to end the school week.
