Top Class Drama 2023

Jessica D completed her study of Year 12 Drama at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø in 2022. She has been selected to perform her solo performance examination in Top Class Drama 2023, as part of the VCE Season of Excellence presented by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). Students who received a perfect score from all three performance examiners were invited to audition for Top Class Drama. We are proud to report that Jessica will perform at the Malthouse Theatre on Wednesday, 15 March at 2.00pm.

Jessica created an original work based on the real life character of Hetty Green. Hetty Green was a woman who lived during the Gilded Age in New York, during the late 1800s. She was an entrepreneur and businesswoman, a woman ahead of her time. Her performance dramatically chronicled Hetty Green’s personal and business life, as well as incorporating links and parallels to the life of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø alumna, Susan Alberti AC (Class of 1964), who is also a contemporary businesswoman and philanthropist.

Our current VCE Drama classes will be attending Top Class Drama 2023, in their support of Jessica in this outstanding achievement. We wish Jessica every success in her pursuit of Creative Arts at tertiary level and look forward to hearing of her future artistic endeavours.
